Seller's Tales is a collection of real stories from Shopify store owners — the midnight checkout crashes, the app conflicts that took hours to debug, the "I can't believe I was paying for that" subscription discoveries.
Every article here is based on actual experiences. We don't publish theory pieces, "ultimate guides" padded to 5,000 words, or AI-generated filler. If it's on this site, someone lived through it.
Shopify's official documentation tells you how things should work. Reddit threads disappear. Facebook group posts get buried in the algorithm. There's no single place where sellers can find honest, detailed accounts of what actually goes wrong — and how real people fixed it.
This site is that place.
No account needed. Every article has a comment section at the bottom. If you've been through something similar — or something worse — drop your experience there. Name optional. Just the story matters.
We also welcome full article submissions. If you have a story worth telling, email us at support@joycraft.dev with a rough outline. We'll help you shape it.
Seller's Tales is built and maintained by JoyCraft, an indie studio building tools for Shopify merchants. We don't use this site to push our products — we use it to understand what sellers actually need. The stories here directly shape what we build.
