These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of sellertales.com (the "Site"), operated by JoyCraft ("JoyCraft", "we", "us", "our"). Please read them before using the Site.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.
You do not need to create an account to browse the Site or use our contact form. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory provisions of applicable law, the applicable law prevails to that extent.
2. Services
The Site publishes editorial guides on running an online store and provides information about JoyCraft and our products, currently:
- CourseSpeed, a Chrome extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store; and
- CostPilot Pro, a Shopify app distributed through the Shopify App Store.
The products themselves are downloaded, installed, and updated through those third-party stores, not through this Site. Any paid plans or in-product purchases are checked out and billed on the store side. The Site has no checkout process: we do not collect, process, or store card numbers or other payment information here.
Content on the Site is provided for general information. We may update articles and other content as our products and guidance evolve.
3. Acceptable Use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- use the Site in any unlawful way, or not violate the rights of JoyCraft or any third party;
- attempt to interfere with, disrupt, degrade, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, its infrastructure, or connected systems;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from any part of the Site, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Site by automated or bulk means without our prior written permission — this includes collecting Site content to build datasets or train machine learning models or competing products or services;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us or using the Site;
- use the Site to send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages.
We may take technical and legal measures in response to violations of this section, including blocking access.
4. Intellectual Property
The content of the Site — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and page design — is owned by JoyCraft or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "JoyCraft", "CourseSpeed", and "CostPilot Pro", together with our logos, are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except for a nominative, factual reference to our products.
You are welcome to link to the Site and to quote short excerpts of Site content with clear attribution and a link back to the original page.
You retain whatever rights you have in content you submit to us through our contact form or subscription forms. By submitting it, you grant us the limited rights described in Section 5.
5. User Messages and Submissions
You can contact us through the contact form (name, email address, and your message) and, where offered, an optional email subscription (email address only).
We process what you submit only to:
- respond to your message and provide support; and
- understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
We do not use contact form messages for marketing. If you subscribe, we send only the updates you signed up for, after you confirm your address, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy; where these Terms and the Privacy Policy differ on data handling, the Privacy Policy controls.
Please do not send us confidential, sensitive, or payment-related information through these forms. Submissions are treated as non-confidential, and we have no obligation to review or act on them.
6. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JoyCraft disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, and we make no commitment regarding availability or uptime. Content may contain inaccuracies, and we may change it without notice.
Product features, availability, and pricing are as described on the applicable store listing page (Chrome Web Store or Shopify App Store) and in the version of the product you actually install; the Site's product descriptions are summaries and may not reflect the latest version. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JoyCraft and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid to JoyCraft directly in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
8. Third-Party Stores and Services
Our products reach you through third-party platforms, currently the Chrome Web Store and the Shopify App Store. Those platforms' own terms of service govern how you download, install, update, and pay for the products, and they take precedence over these Terms to the extent of any conflict concerning installation or billing.
The Site may link to third-party websites or services for convenience. We do not control those third parties, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their availability or practices.
9. Refunds
Because purchases and subscriptions for our products are billed by the store where you completed the purchase, refunds are handled under that store's refund policies:
- CourseSpeed purchases or in-product payments made through the Chrome Web Store: please refer to the Chrome Web Store refund policy and support channels.
- CostPilot Pro subscription charges billed through Shopify: please refer to Shopify's app billing and refund process.
JoyCraft does not process payments or refunds on this Site. If you are unsure where a charge came from, check your store account first, or contact us and we will point you in the right direction. We cannot promise refunds outside the applicable store policy, but we will try to help you resolve issues fairly.
10. Changes and Termination
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also restrict or terminate access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms or whose use of the Site is abusive or harmful. Because the Site requires no account, termination means blocking further access. Sections 4, 6, 7, 11, and 12 survive any termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Jurisdiction], except where applicable law provides otherwise.
